Mayoral visit for long service awards and charitable donations

Long service and charity awards

Long service awards and charitable donations with the Mayor

Rochdale’s Mayor, Councillor Mike Holly and his wife visited our offices on Thursday 8th February to present long service awards to two of our most loyal team members.

Dave Hartley has been with H Bell & Sons for 30 years, and Tony Brady for 25. Both of these stalwarts were presented with a huge cake by the Mayor and his wife, alongside a gift from Chris Bell, Managing Director on behalf of the company.

Chris also presented a cheque for £1,000 to the Mayors charities, supporting local causes. We’re always keen to support the Rochdale Borough, through donations and voluntary work across the town.

We also took the opportunity to present cheques to Kirsty Rhodes from WHAG, which helps people to rebuild their lives in Rochdale. Then another donation was given to Liz Dodd for Jolly Josh, who give essential support to children with very special needs and their families.

We’re very proud to support these important local charities and their work, and this support underpins our philosophy of looking after our town and the people in it.
