H Bell & Sons were contacted recently by Michael Buczman to ask how we might help the charity ‘Giving To Ukraine’. Both of Michael’s grandfathers were Ukranian so it was an easy decision for him to get involved with the mission.
Michael had already sourced many items to transport to the Poland/Ukraine border to help orphanages in the area. These orphanages are helping people who have fled across the border to escape the conflict in their home country. The items include some pieces of play equipment which were removed from play areas in the UK, which will be hugely appreciated by the children and families at the orphanages.
H Bells were happy to help in any small way we could, so we made a few calls to get some prices for pallets of postcrete, to allow the bigger pieces of equipment to be installed properly. We were delighted when two suppliers agreed to donate a pallet each, completely free! We’d like to express our thanks to Jewsons (Rochdale) and Parr/Abbey Architectural Rochdale for their kindness.
Michael and his colleague Jamie White traveled with the equipment and have installed the play equipment at the orphanage, as you can see in the photos here.
