H Bell and Sons were awarded the contract to carefully provide a safe working environment to enable experts from London’s Natural History Museum to move Dippy the diplodocus into Number One Riverside, Rochdale’s new municipal head office.
As part of Dippy’s tour of Britain, the massive herbivore will be looking over visitors to the building throughout 2020. This exciting installation will bring natural history to the people of Rochdale in a BIG way.
The H Bell & Sons team installed a one-off secure area and platform for Dipply to be painstakingly reassembled in safety and privacy, before a grand unveiling once the beast is completely whole.
